If you read any of my other posts, then you would kno by now that ive had some problems with my pb.... so here is the history of the "mean green mini-moto speedin machine" (i dont actually call it that) :bigtoung but anyways.....
orgininally, i dont know where mean green came from, but through time it ended up in my friend Jorge's hands, and after about 3 succesesful days of riding..... BANG, the moron hit a brick mailbox and wrecked the hell out of it..... but through the magic of trading, i inherited it for the loss of a gameboy sp (i never played it anyways).....
after that, i decided that changes needed to be made. First things first, i had to get the then piece of junk to work, or at least start. My friend BJ, came to the conclusion that it needed a new pull start, because their wasnt one on it, it had broke off when some other kid pulled too hard on it....so i ordered the part off ebay, only to find that it was the wrong size, but my dad said it would make a good dust cover, so i left it on there since it wasnt in the way of anything. my dad also wanted to make sure that all the lights would still work, so we then looked at the wires.... to quote someone on this site, im not sure who "it looked like some kid did it in 7 hours at 12 cents an hour" not only did we find it was all jacked up, but there was over 10 shorts in the wires.
following that, we have now come to the conclusion that the ignition coil is burnt out, because whenever we plug it in, it blows the fuse and doesnt spark.....
but fear not, because there was more work to be done on the horrid looking body, first i sanded it down with 100 grit sandpaper, then 400, then 600 and finally 800, not too mention having to scrape all that glue junk off to sand down under the seat... but then came the glorious part, painting mean green....it was a blue, but now through the glory of krylon it is now a deep and powerful forest green, with a clear coat to make it shiney... o yeah.... now i just have to wait for the coil and that bad boy will be back on its way to cruisin...
any suggestion of upgrades or mods would be great, cause i want my x1 to be able to go super fast, because unlike my friends, i actually have the ability to go fast and not knock in to a freakin mailbox....

And that is the legacy of mean green

You like that wiring mess dont ya..

I'm the one who said it looked like it was wired in some sweatshop somewhere.

When I rewired mine. I used a thicker guage wire. I believe I used 10 Guage.
I also added some more fuse points and now have a full fuse box installed.
Nice not to just blow one fuse and wonder WTF blew it. Now its narrowed down real easy. OLD Datsun fuse box from the junk yard cost 75cents and was real small. oNly 6 places for fuses.

r4z3,
I am pretty new to the PB scene, but from talking to the part dealer down the way from me, the best upgrades are:
New air filter w/ V stack, exhaust, and a new carb.

From what I was told, the carb will give you more of the performace (speed) what alot of people want.

This actually sounds about right. I tend to mod the cars that I buy, and the air intake and exhaust are normally the first things to get modded.

Simply attach it, as for the idle. Turn the gold screw with the spring and flathead on it Clockwise and that should do the trick.
