Hey all. I'm new to the pb scene and I was wondering since winter is just around the corner if I could get you guys to give me some ideas as to what mods i should add to my bone stock spb cateyes. I'm looking to increase total performance of the bike. I would like to have a better low and top end. Some of the things that I know I want to do are:
Racing clutch
Racing Pipe
Racing carb.
Possible Sprocket Change.
Rocket Key.
HP air breather system.
I need help as to what make and where to get the parts???? Right now im slow on take off and only get to about 24mph on the top end. The stock speedo of course is way off. It says i'm running about 42mph. lol! My weight is 185 lbs. Also, Is there a way to change from a duel chain setup to a single?? if so, what is the benefit of changing over?
Thanks in advance for any replies! PBs are awsome fun!

Sounds like you got the basic bolt ons on your list. If I were to hit them order I would go, air filter, exhaust, carb, right about in here I'd do a boost tube or bottle though, rocket key, sprocket then maybe clutch.
As far as places to recommend there is a parts price comparision I did in the faq, and I'm gonna redo it up to date here before too long. The old one will aleast give you some sites to look at.

Hey, Some suggestions to help you out.
( you can do these yourself if you have done models or other similar hobby's If not you can take it to a machiene shop and have it done fairly cheap
Airflow.... Always helps with power.
1.) Open up your intake. HP carbs are 15.88 or 16.88 MM. But if you leave the rest the same size your are only gonna get minnimal gain.
2.) exhaust port same thing. Open it up a little.
3.) Port polish the head. ( unless you have done this before take it to somone who has to help ya. )
Then HP Air Filter, Carb, Juise box or boost bottle, Performance exhaust, performance bearings, HP Clutch
Thats stuff that comes to my head.
If you really want top tear the engine apart you could pickup a headstrong kit. That will get you to a 52 cc with the over bore.

Thanks for the replies! What do you guys recommend??? The juice box or the boost tube?

They both serve the same prupose. Personally I recommend the boost box. Alot of people out there just make a tube call it a boost tube and slap a price sticker on it. Or people run like 6 ft of line when they mount it and dont count that into the volume it holds.

ADA Billet aluminum boost box. Improves throttle response, quicker acceleration, and overall performance. Reduces intake noise. Now comes with spacer! Carb mounts directly to boost box, comes with all hardware pictured!
This is not some crap homemade PVC, or Soda Bottle that will sooner or later break down and possibly cause damage to you or your bike.
I have them in stock but until my sponsor link is approved It is morally wrong for me to post you a direct link to the item to my store.

Thats what I got. I added mine the same time as my wt-603 carb so I cant tell you individual gains but both together was a BIG improvement.

As a Dealer I can honestly say the ADA Juice Box is way better quality then the PBU Boost Box.

PBU does have some nice looking stuff though. If they'd only have about a 70% off sale so they have competitive prices I'd buy some stuff, lol.

Im working with PBU right now in order to become a Authorized Dealer for them. So Ill see what Kind of deals I can get for ya on some PBU stuff.
I agree they are real high.. REAL HIGH. I think their dealer pricing is way below the sale price. Ill keep ya informed.

Yes it is $59.99 but here is a little side info. Id buy from a dealer rather then ADA its self. ADA shipping is 4-6 weeks on customer orders, compaired to most Dealers are 3-5 days.
But ADA wont allow their products to be sold for less then what they want them to be sold for on the internet. Drop me a PM to see if I can get it to you a little cheaper..

What? I bought mine from ADA direct and got it in 5 days.
4-6 Weeks? Come on now thats a month plus. If that were true there would be enough complaints & word wouldve gotten out and nobody would be buying there stuff.
