hey there

i was jus wondering is the Cat Eye ment to charge the battery when riding ?
because i thought it did, but after riding it for about 1hour, then i tried to Electric start it again it didnt work, like no power to roto the motor.. then i use the wall charger n it worked.

so can the Cat eye charge the battery when its in use ? it has a RELAY if that means anythin

Yes its meant to charge. Check your fuse, also from my grasp of it it only charges if running at a certain RPM & above.

true but that RPM is about 200rpms above idle. so yeah check out your fuses and also your battery connections and frame ground

when i frist got my cat eye i charged my battery for like 20 minutes and rode it for like a month without charging and now its 3 month and i just charged it again just to make sure its in tip top shape. so i think it does charge while riding...it works like a car when the engine is on it charges the battery..
