why do you hate the cops for looking out for YOUR safety?
the helmet law has been in effect for nearly 20 years, you were riding a small motorcycle without a helmet, heck they would have stopped me on my CBR
please don't hault the law while you are breaking it
there are plenty of cops out there that ARE harassing kids to get them off the street, but in this case you got hit by 2 that knew what they were talking about AND were doing there job :read
you might also want to check out the sticky marked
"Is a Pocketbike legal in my state? "

Yep No helmet = MESS WITH ME!!! That just opens the doorway for more things.
Once the first kid with out a helmet gets hit by a car it goes US wide and pocket bikes get outlawed more & more.

If you cant find anything, you should call & ask. Its better to find out via phone then find out via ticket.

Best place to go is a shut down K-mart lot or whereever you can find a big lot at. That what me and couple friends do. And we have never got messed with once. Do that and if they do happen to mess with you all they can say is you dont need to be here and kick you out. But most likely they wont give you a ticket because they see your responsable and trying to stay away from the streets.

The city of Houston is also trying to pass this law too. Only because a 6 year old kid, who was riding a pb, hit a boat being pulled by an suv. So if it does pass the only legal place to ride is own driveway.

OMG a 6 year in the streets.................They should lock up the childs parents for child indangerment and or neglect.
They are not made to ride on public roads period.....do you people not understand?
Take them to a private parking lot or closed course track.

The parents are being charged, but its still going to give a bad name for pb.

welcome to the sportbike world, everyone sees you on a sprotbike and assumes your a member of the local stunt team
one knumbnut crashes and is killed or hurt doing something stupid and all the sudden we all do it, and have the same bad name.
it sucks, it's society, its what bikers live with everyday.
