I'm from MI too.

As far as I know, there aren't any specific laws in MI regaurding pocket bikes.

But they aren't street legal. They aren't safe to ride on the street anyways.

However, a friend of mine did trick the secretary of state into registering his as a mobed. It's a techincality, but he did get it registered, and could legally ride it on the street. Still he doesn't he just wanted the sticker in case he got an flak.

1. Do not post about pocketbike laws.

2. Trash talking concerning law enforcement agencies will earn you a free ticket to the land of the banned!

Like I said...

Pocket Bikes are not street legal. They will never be street legal. They aren't made to a standard safe enough to be ridden on streets, and cannot be seen by drivers. My friend and other have managed to slip by on a technicality, but if the police want to do any research they could be ticketed same as anyone else.

It really depends on what you're doing, If you're tearing around streets and downtown areas, or agravating neighbors, you're going to be ticketed.

However most cops don't mind. For example, my group went out to the Northville High School parking lot, sometime about 1 AM, there's 5 of us with bikes, and we were just cruising around the lot.

Of course the Northville Police show up for people in the school parking lot after dark. We were being responsible, and none of us were drinking. The police thought the bikes were pretty cool, and instead offered to clock us with their radar guns as we raced around, told us to stay safe, and left after 20 mins of playing around.

Once again: .ws don't permit posting or debating the street legality of pocketbikes.

Please put the thread back on track or it will be closed.
