13.12.02 - PI Trackday report
 

well it was typical PI weather,, drizzle in the morning but no dampness on the track (phew),, from the get go it was hell for leather for our group today,, my bro Guy (2nd time at PI) got his first knee down experience in the first session [1] while i was still hard at it for the whole day,, I finally decided to give it up and focus on lap times,, which was what i was planning on the whole day,, tho outdone by my bro who was running flying 2.02s the whole day whereas i could only manage 2.04s which i was wrapped with.. no probs from anyone the whole day,, and i was having an amazing dice with a rider on a 929,, i was totally wrapped to see that the 929 had nothing on me in the straights where i managed to stay and even pass the rider,, and this guy was a decent rider :)

so all in all, the day was MAD,, i dropped my best lap to a 2.04 and i still havent got my knee down (say what u will,, i dont care)

i also got the display my new sticker kit which definetely needs some work.. pics below

oh btw,, incidents for the day,, SRAD Gixxer6 went down in out of honda corner,, a kwaka did the flips MULTIPLE times,, total write off, and some idiot seized his shit box bike (i have no idea what it was) coming into MG.

Very good... 2.04's eh... (Thats a HUGE improvment from last time)..

Cant believe you still cant get your knee down doing 2.04's... Ive got mine hard against my left panel and i still scrape my slider... [13][13]

That also means you'll be able to keep up with us at the next track day... So hook up that camera... and we'll get you some footage..

Steve,, on one side im completely wrapped with those 2.04s but on the other im pissed as hell that my bro was still outdoing me with his 2.02s,, just call it sibling rivalry LoL

if u look at those pics taken of me,, my form is just plain shit,, every time i was trying to get the knee down i was losing major speed and time so bad that i just cursed and gave it up all together. hopefully on the next track day one of u guys can follow me and give me some pointers (pleasssssssse)

im gonna make sure that i have a camera setup running on the next trackday since ive dont three so far and dont have any footage at all *cry*

SO WHEN IS EVERYONE PLANNING ON DOING ANOTHER TRACKDAY,, HAVE TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE IS IN ON THIS ONE..

Getting ya knee down is hard repsol, I can only get my left down at the moment. For me to get my knee down I have to pick a smooth line and follow the line, I cant readjust my line when im hanging off bike.

I wouldnt worry about it as long as you have fun.
