What a trip. Thank God we had a few solid, sane people to keep me from LOSING it!
There are still more details Don spared everyone....
The wrong tire size on a Buell will wear a hole through the swingarm (- where the oil is stored)
Fresh chip seal/gravel for 15 miles on an epic road
Drama because the downed rider's father/mother in law (fellow riders in the group) will not call his 6 mo. pregnant wife to let her know her husband is in the hospital in John Day. She has no clue why he isn't answering his phone or checking in and they are making up stories to cover the fact that he crashed... Need less to say she was F'n PISSED when they drove into the driveway with the crashed bike on the trailer and he is in a neck brace
Yada yada yada...

I somehow feel responsible because I organize for our group, but I have to tell myself that I didn't get a ticket, I didn't break down or have bald tires, I didn't crash and I cannot control the weather. Will I do it again? Yeah probably because I'm a glutton , but I've had a BLAST on that trip every year. IF I do it again it will be a smaller, select group...

Don is on the invite list for next year. Odds on him going? Anyone, anyone????
